The level of brainwash in this country amazing. One side, we have the Obama supporters, totally brainwashed, will do anything to get this guy elected, they can't even see his own faults, change, change, change, Yes we can. On the other side, we have the Palin supporters, it does not matter how much dirt we find out about this woman, they swear she is wonderful(most people have only known this woman for less than a week) yet, they claim that she is the "best qualified" person to run the country. When are we going to stop living in denial?

Did you have a point you wanted to make, or did you just feel the need to vent?
OP has a valid point. Dirt on Obama is sticking, but the "fans" don't care. They are not in denial, they just DON'T CARE! Identity politics rule!!
No dirt sticking yet on Palin, so the "jury" still out. But people hopeful she can squeak by unscathed (well, not too much). Come back in a few weeks and give us updates.
