If this plane is mentioned as one of the lost, it is of no fault of McCain's.

There is no question McCain was a terrible pilot and had a terrible flying record, but this one was no fault of his.

Hint for you Skippy, the pin would do NOTHING to stop a Zuni Rocket, the investigation that followed blamed it on "stray electricity". (IOW, they didn't know other then it lit off).

Have you ever seen his NATOPS? Nice of you to say he was a "terrible pilot", you're credentials are exactly what? Being a "no load"? (NavAir term, look it up and put your picture next to it)

And Joe Biden was a draft dodger.

Sorry to tell you this but you will not find a veteran who served with McCain who do not respect him.

Nice try but another dead end for you liberals.

Do you dems have a hero or are you all drat dodgers like Biden and Clinton?

Attacking him is a good thing, as you libs have found out the more lies you all spread the more money and people are moving to McCain / Palin.

So keep it up you jealous ones.

Game over!

I can see the desperation in your writings.

Like little scared raccoons in a corner.

And Obama served for what countries army? Indonesia?

Hey but Biden had FIVE deferments before giving enough Lewinsky to be declared 4F, and the gutless wonders cry about Chaney? Wow, Dumbo and Biden at the helm, will there be a coup because NOBODY would want to follow them.

Both of these men are miserable failures who should even be on any tickets.

Come on democrats, you surely have more qualified people then these two draft dodgers.

Someone on CNN today has given up, they are already talking how impeachment proceedings will be done if McCain/Palin win.

They are already planning on losing.

So the attacks on Palin hurt you liberals and now your back to attacking McCain. Sorry to tell you this but this country is in line behind McCain and Palin and it will take a bunch more lies to stop it.

The liberals list is growing shorter by the minute. They are running out of things.

Unlike the goofy website posted as a "source" in the OP let's see what a credible site, (especially with the liberals) msnbc, has to say about McCain:

Navy releases McCain's military record - John McCain News - MSNBC.com

contrast that with information about Biden (sorry, no relevant info available concerning Obama, he's got nuttin):

The Associated Press: Deferments, asthma kept Biden out of Vietnam (broken link)

Quote:
In "Promises to Keep," a memoir that was published last year and became an instant best-seller after he was tapped as Obama's running mate, Biden never mentions his asthma, recounting an active childhood, work as a lifeguard and football exploits in high school.
What a difference.

The A-1s were a propeller driven aircraft that had no radar and a poor safety record, crashing for inexplicable reasons. If you saw "We were soldier once..." that was an A-1 that crashed and to this day no one has a clue why it crashed.

The A-4 he was flying when shot down was not much better than the A-1. It had a jet engine and very primitive avionics. A total of 352 A-4s were lost in Vietnam so it isn't like McCain was a bad pilot.

That's a gross distortion of the truth. His record shows 17 medals and 11 awards, but you're too ignurnt to understand the difference between medals and awards.

You also ignore the fact that he served 7 years before being assigned to duty in Vietnam. He received a Silver Star, just as all other naval aviators who were captured did. A Legion of Merit is common award for officers and NCOs in combat duty, but in peace time they would be awarded a Distinguished Service Medal or Meritorious Service Medal (I have one of those). A Distinguished Flying Cross is a typical award for aviators in a combat environment, or a lesser award such as an Air Medal (I have one of those too). Bronze Stars were also common awards for air force and naval aviators.

It isn't McCain's fault that the army is stingy with its medals and awards, so I don't see the grunts are whining about.

And seriously, no one gives a damn what Colonel Hackworthless says. He must be pining to get on the Art Bell Show again.

I was at the Aviation Museum in Hanoi last year. I certainly don't know my planes, but the state of the art was not what we might think it was. Things looked like flying death traps. Big Engines with wings and a seat. Note: I don't think it had airconditioning and a GPS. The first plane he lost according to the offered website was back in 1958. Do you remember Cars from 1958?

My buddy who is the white guy in jeans and is an Obama supporter asked me what I thought was going through McCain's head as he was plummeting down into the lake. I told him that each time he hopped in, he probably thought it would would be his last time. We would not even have the balls to go up without people firing at us let alone do what he did. Get Real. He had a different set of balls.
