So the fact that it's more dangerous to live in Chicago than to be fighting in Iraq, means nothing?

Until Chicago goes through a cultural "Renaissance" and it can be proven it was the result of Barack Obama, then I don't think he has proved he will be able to change anything.
I missed that part of his resume where he was Mayor of Chicago.

The fact that this has nothing to do with Obama means something.

Exactly. Chicago is a large, complicated city (I should know, I've lived here almost my whole life) and has an entrenched political system that Obama isn't as nearly as powerful in as people seem to think. As a DC Senator, Obama represents the whole state, of which Chicago is a small part. He has no role in the recent arrest of certain gang-leaders which has lead to some violence as they regroup, and he also has no direct involvement with the resignation of our former police chief, the various police scandals, and the recently appointed new police chief, and the various nonsense going on in the police department which has resulted in (in my opinion) some faulty police work this year. And no, Chicago is not more dangerous than Iraq, yes, there are some parts of the city I avoid where the violence is appalling (and yes, crime has been on the rise, but it nowhere where it used to be back in the early 90's), but I've never once seen a suicide bomber in the middle of my farmers market.

If we are going to start blaming someone for what is currently going on in Chicago, I suggest you start with the mayor, you know that person who actually has political power locally. Hint, his name isn't Obama.

So he is responsible for everything that happens in the city of Chicago?

We'll add this to the list of ridiculous things right-wing wackos say.

How long is Palin's term as governor? She has served a whopping 20 months so far.
Great, so he has been a Senator for 4 years and has accomplished nothing while Sarah has been a Governor for 20 months and has a huge surplus of money, gave money back to her people and is the most popular Governor in the entire US.

Results of his days, like stealing 100k from taxpayers to build a park in his community that never got done?

He teamed up with Rezko to steal taxpayers money to refurbish the areas and it is still a dump and the money is gone, 100k to clean up a nasty area and turn it into a botanical garden and all those people got was a gazebo for 10k out of the 100k Obama took. Now the contractor is on his staff. wow.

Totally agreed. Which one has brought more change in half the time? I dont even think I need to answer that one.

And PS, 2 of those 4 years Obama has been "serving" have been days on the campaign trail.
