It will be all scripted like her speech at the RNC. ABC (Disney) knows that McCain will punish the station if he doesn't ask the right questions. Is this going to be edited? I noticed the announcement said "series of interviews" so this sounds to me like a Barbara Walters show, not Meet The Press!
edit: What I meant in my above statement is that when Campbell Brown pressured Tucker Bounds on some issues regarding Palin's background, McCain canceled his scheduled appearance on Larry King Live.
I'm sure after her big gaffe regarding Fannie Mae yesterday, they will be even more careful. The scary thing is that most people don't care. Why else would anyone want to see her on Oprah? I want to hear her answer important questions about her background & accomplishments and her views on current issues.
Charles Gibson got the interview because he is one of the few journalist left on the alphabet networks that has any class. He's as close to neutral as it gets IMO.
Why can Palin choose when he gets to talk to her? Because HE wants to interview her. Did Bill O'Reilly get to choose when he interviewed Obama?

Thank you! I keep saying that over and over again. Even Michelle Obama was pressured to release her college records, wasn't she? I remember the controversy about her doctoral thesis .. and she isn't even running for office.

It has taken Obama more than a year to finally step into unfriendly territory. The guy has been attended softball lobbing interviews at every turn and would not talk to O'Reilly until now.
