McCain's campaign immediately organized a telephone conference call in response and called on Obama to apologize for calling Palin a pig. Obama's campaign said he wasn't referring to Palin; he had been talking about McCain immediately before the lipstick comment.
That's just stupid of McCain made stupider by the fact that he's also used the term then knocked out of the ballpark of stupid by her comments about hockey moms, pit bulls and lipstick. Even if he was calling her a pig which he wasn't then she first opened the door with her little joke.
I wish they'd get over it. I understand he's trying to demand respect for the lady but please, she's gonna have a whole lot more than this to deal with.
Seriously, I'm a fan of freedom of speech; get over it, people. If someone calls you a name confront them and be done with it, but it's their right to say it. Good grief.
You do realize that "lipstick on a pig" is actually a colloquial saying. Right?
Yeah, but if BO is as smart as he wants us to think then he should have known not to use that phrase because it would instantly be associated with Palin's previous remarks.
He knew what he was saying, but because he didn't actually say it about Palin he'll get a pass.
