Watch the right wingers tap dance their way out of this one!

"The parents here are the culprits!"
--Rush Limbaugh reacting to the news in December 2007 that teen actress Jamie Lynn Spears was pregnant

Full exchange:
CALLER: Would you tend to think that a family in this position, though, wouldn't you think that there would be a more watchful eye as a parent to be watching over these kids so this doesn't happen to them?
RUSH: I would certainly hope so, but it's long past time for this to happen. The parents here are the culprits!
Rush Limbaugh on Jamie Lynn Spears: "The Parents here are the culprits!" - Steven Waldman

One questioner asked Obama to address Republican Karl Rove's recent remarks diminishing Richmond. Rove recently told CBS' "Face the Nation" that during Kaine's stint as Richmond's mayor, he "was mayor of the 105th largest city in America. ... It's not a big town."Obama said today: "My mother taught me that if you don't have anything good to say about anybody, you shouldn't say anything."
Obama appears with Kaine in Chester - Richmond politics, Virginia politics, national races and more - inRich.com (http://www.inrich.com/cva/ric/news/politics.apx.-content-articles-RTD-2008-08-21-0157.html - broken link)

For the record, Richmond has more than 190.000 folks and Kaine has been governor longer than Palin.

And a tad from Mr. O'Reilly:

"Said O’Reilly, “Now most teens are pinheads in some ways. But here the blame falls primarily on the parents of the girl, who obviously have little control over her or even over Britney Spears. Look at the way she behaves.”

Why the different treatment of the Palins? Do they wear some kind of teflon?
