I know he doesn't like to use 527 groups to hit his opponets but he needs to cut them loose before the GOP really destorys him with theirs. All is fair in war.

What 527's are you talking about that have hit obama? McCain has been relying on obama's own words and voting record to pound him - what's wrong with that?

Do you really think Obama wants to teach pre school children sex education?

Pre-school? No. Kindergarten? Yes.

The bill died in the Senate, so the mandate to instruct students on the transmission and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases remains at grades 6 through 12 in Illinois - instead of changing to grades K through 12 under Obama's Senate Health and Human Services Commitee leadership.

Yes. Have you read the language in the bill?

Hahaha... It's rare to see such a long time Democrat get whacked by the political correctness bat. If they replay that sound bite before the election, no Indians will vote for Obama. Why would they anyway? Obama calls all business owners "rich". The slim profit margins that conveniance store owners make would be cut even more by O-BomB-A's redistributive tax scheme...

Yes, and what kindergartners would learn would be skills to avoid child predators, not how to use condoms and the ins and outs of intercourse. Mitt Romney was for the same thing.

Maybe McCain should start assailing the Cub Scouts next.

The Obama campaign has pointed out that the bill would simply add instruction on disease prevention to already existing Illinois sex-ed standards. That much is true. What they have neglected to mention is that what the bill would add is the mandate that instruction on sexually transmitted disease prevention would be expanded to grades K through 5 in addition to grades 6 through 12, which already receive instruction on sexually transmitted disease prevention.

If Obama did not intend for kindergarteners to be taught about the transmission and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases - being an attorney and all - shouldn't he have worked to keep that requirement at 'grades 6 through 12' instead of agreeing to require the teaching of the transmission and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases to children at the kindergarten grade-level?

Obama obviously wasn't paying attention to the language of the bill. Do we really want a President that has to claim something along the lines of...

'I know that's what it says, but that wasn't what I meant. What I really meant was...'

The bill died amid a lot of controversy, by the way. Instruction on the transmission and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases remains at grades 6 through 12 in Illinois.
