Doesn't the bush doctrine include going after terrorists wherever we find them? Wasn't that part of her answer - that bush has tried to rid the world of these monsters.

An objective independent would be very pleased with that interview, especially since they realize the press is out to hurt her.

In a week or two, the Bush Doctrine flub will just be one entry on a list of flubs from Palin. I love pit bulls, but you can't "cram" to be VP in a week or two. We need people who are competent and knowledgeable to run this country for a while.

but they cant run the country. We've been there and done that. Remember Bush was suppose to be the man you could have a beer and look what idiot he turned out to be.

Maybe after they read up on it on Wikipedia or something, they'll let us know.

Oh wait, McCain
doesn't know how to run a computer. Maybe Lieberman can tell him about it?

Sorry I don't want a potential president because I can have a beer with them. I want them to know what the hell is going on and how to deal with it.

And by the way, many of us are not running for office, have busy lives and are hardly policy experts, but we know what the Bush Doctrine. That's really pathetic.

My guess is because it's because the Doctrine would be considered a pretty basic concept to anyone remotely paying attention this decade to the news in general that her foreign policy 101 teachers didn't think to teach her that this week.

"But in fact the Bush Doctrine represents a return to the first principles of American security strategy. The Bush Doctrine also represents the realities of international politics in the post-cold-war, sole-superpower world. Further, the combination of these two factors--America's universal political principles and unprecedented global power and influence--make the Bush Doctrine a whole greater than the sum of its parts; it is likely to remain the basis for U.S. security strategy for decades to come."

AEI - Short Publications - The Underpinnings of the Bush Doctrine (http://www.aei.org/publications/pubID.15845/pub_detail.asp - broken link)

This isn't some abstract political philosophy.

I was wondering tonight why the hell Obama is struggling to win the race against a white haired (potentially senile) guy who doesn't even know how to use a computer....
