This article is full of half-truths and deceptive assertions. Obama did not come up through the "Chicago Machine." OMG: that's just laughable.
Really? Um, while you're laughing, you might want to read a biography a Chicago journalist wrote about him. He most certainly DID learn from Chicago's "best." In his very first campaign, he had lawyers challenge the signatures of ALL of his opponents petitions and knocked them ALL out of the race so he won by default. From what I've read, they had a bunch of signatures removed if the didn't look like they were in cursive. Your "hero" has used very typical Chicago-style tactics. You'd best look into it before shooting off your mouth and laughing at others.

I am amazed! I didn't know we had a member who knew every European! Especially well enough to know what they would never do!!
I do know quite a few and could never say any of them 'never' or 'always' do or say anything. I can say that all of them know what you're referring to when you say EC- several use it almost exclusively in ordinary conversation.

Perhaps a cite:
European Union - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
European Union Variant(s)or formerly European Communities or European Community
Function: geographical name economic, scientific, and political organization consisting of Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, & Slovenia

While Barack didn't exactly toe the line for the Chicago machine you can't believe that he could have done anything or won any local election without the support of said machine?

Note I didn't include any suspect right wing cites:

Can You provide some information that would help us understand why you believe this is a laughable concept?

An interesting viewpoint from across the pond. Is Barack losing support in the EC as well?
Obama's rhetoric is the Lite Beer of politics, tastes great, less filling, i.e. no substance.
