Yes, I guess I am a glutton for punishment today. There are some who think that the United States came into being in order to defend Israel. We will stay in power as long as we defend Israel and when we stop defending Israel, our status in the world will end. When one realizes this it doesn't take a lot of thought to find the right answer.

I must disagree. As a client state, Israel should follow our lead in foreign relations, not vice versa. Israel has not proven to be a loyal ally, and often acts in ways that are not in the best interests of the USA.
