What, McCain 38, Obama 37?
Maybe if McCain can get within 30 feet of the pins, instead of 60! Or Bumper Bowling.

Political Punch

Quote:
Assuredly McCain isn't comfortable talking about this -- and the McCain campaign discouraged me from writing about this -- but the reason the aged Arizonan doesn't use a computer or send email is because of his war wounds.

I realize some of the nastier liberals in the blogosphere will see this as McCain once again "playing the POW card," but it's simply a fact: typing on a regular keyboard for any sustained period of time bothers McCain physically.

He can type, he occasionally does type, but in general the injuries he sustained as a POW -- ones that make it impossible for him to raise his arms high enough to comb his hair -- mean that small tasks make his shoulders ache, so he tries to avoid any repetitive exercise.
Too bad McCain has too much class and honor not to hit Obama with an ad.

If John McCain does not know how to use a computer that is entirely a choice he made.

Really? I think he can use a computer, that's not the point. His injuries make it extemely uncomfortable for him to spend time at a keyboard typing. That's the point.

Good god. Have you heard of voice recognition software?

He doesn't need to type, I'm sure he can afford the best voice recognition software on the market....btw he admits to being computer illiterate, one point you continually refuse to acknowledge.

Obviously Sanrene you didn't look up any information about Stephen Hawking when he was brought up, so let me help you.

"The computer system attached to his wheelchair is operated by Hawking via an infra-red 'blink switch' clipped onto his glasses. By scrunching his right cheek up, he is able to talk, compose speeches and research papers, browse the World Wide Web, and write e-mails. The system also uses radio transmission to provide control over doors in his home and office. His computer was created by an American engineer. He once joked that his computer "had an American accent"."

I think if Hawking can use a computer, almost anyone can.

The point is, WHY?

WHY write an e-mail with voice recognition software? It takes longer for me, for example, to use voice recognition software than to type. What's so wrong about picking up the phone? Or having your secretary do everything, like MOST executives? So because he can't exchange text messages with Charlize Theron, he's "out of touch?"

Bill Clinton, by all accounts, sent two e-mails during his entire presidency. Why would ANYONE "send E-mails" from the president that are ALWAYS traceable and hackable anyway?

My mother is 45. She rarely EVER uses the internet or computer at home, and sends an e-mail maybe once a year. Its' her choice.

What next? "McCain doesn't have an IPhone?"

The whole war wounds thing is a lie and is nothing more than McCain pulling the POW card and besmirching his captivity and all those ever held captive.
