Thank you very much for your service and dedication! I would love to do the same but I'm an an "Obama" state, in an "Obama" town so there really isn't anyone to convince in these parts!

Barbie 1964 seems cool, but Palin stole your user name....
Caribou Barbie....and she was born in 1964.
Barbie 1964, you want to be associated with Palin (LOL)?

I need to get some child-size T-shirts I can paint McCain/Palin on so I can put them on my very big dogs if any Obamaphiles show up at my door. Then, I won't even have to deal with them; I can just send the dogs out to give them the message.

To the poster who worried about the McCain and other Rs who answered the door, no worries. They're as nice as the people you meet every day in the grocery, at work and around town. No name calling, just a short "I'm supporting McCain". The reply to which is, "OK, thank you and have a nice day".

The people who purport to support McCain on this site probably can't vote for him anyway. Most of them seem to be folks who ended up with access to a computer when the attendents took a break and left the day room unlocked and unattended. In real life Rs are just as nice as Ds, not so online.

Oh and anyone who says they were out canvassing on a Saturday and talked to anyone at more than 45 or 50% of their "doors", is flat out lying. Unless they were in a retirement community.

A bit of suprise, out of 60 doors, only 2 McCains, 2 "won't say", 4 undecided, 1 Ron Paul, 0 Bob Barr, 6 Obama. 3 of the Obama folks wanted to get signs, bumper stickers, 4 of them wanted to donate and 3 asked about volunteering. Two of the last group said they had been pretty undecided until they caught more than the first 10 minutes of Palin.

As one Viet Nam vet said; "that woman scares me more than Bush or McCain ever did, and McCain looks like one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel" (partially paraphrased).

One other item of note, 3 of the six Obama supporters said they had been for Hillary, but after some consideration they're "all in" for Obama.

So while you guys have been bleating on about Obama being (1) a Muslim, (2) a trojan horse for Al-Queada, (3) a community organizer, (4) inexperienced, because he was never the mayor of a "red neck, white bread, quiet little mountain town" (see South Park, Bigger, Longer and Uncut). Some of us have been out "moving the ball down the field".

Wow! Thank you! I wish I had the nerve, in my own South Park. (I'd get a lot of, "Honey, I remember your grandparents, and I'm just so grateful they're not here to see this day.")
