Repubs don't seem to have had any problem voting in (twice!) a candidate who only stopped drinking and doing coke regularly at the age of 40. Claiming offense now against a candidate who did coke or a derivative a few times many years ago is ridiculous.

And Obama specifically states that he was never addicted and that it was never frequent or even regular.

Bush, on the other hand, had a regular habit of both coke and alcohol. The alcohol is evidence by DUIs. I'll go find a link on the coke...

Has McCain given up philandering? There's a whole lot more evidence that he hasn't than there is for Obama using drugs.

That doesn't say he did cocaine until he was 40. We all knew about his drinking and he stopped drinking. And that's a whole different think than crack.
