Nation & World | Palin promoted friends and secrecy, targeted critics | Seattle Times Newspaper

Palin gave at least five high school friends high paying Gov't positions. One friend cited qualifications on application as a "childhood love for cows" before being hired as director of agriculture, earning over $90,000.

She pursues personal vendettas, fires people who cross her and blurs the line between gov't and personal issues, according to public records and interviews with 60 Republican and Democratic legislators and local officials.

She is described as a leader missing in action. She has spent 312 nights at her Wasilla home, 600 miles from the capital. Some legislators began wearing "Where's Sarah?" pins.

She seems to take care of herself and friends now doesn't she! But don't cross her, or else! I read this article in my Seattle Times paper and thought it was an excellent article which gives some great insight on the "beloved" Sarah. I am glad this article was written because people need to know who and what she is about. HERSELF!!!!

Please stop picking on this beautiful, gorgeous woman. It's absurd to say her friend got the job because of her "childhood love of cows."

I would guess her friend got the job because she loves the COWSILLS. That's one fine singing group. That's qualifications enough!

Distortions? Lies? Who cares? Let the BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE RULE.

If Obama had any friends he would have them there also. But he would have to get them to move to America first.

LOL LOL....I'm sorry, but the title of this thread reads just like a National Enquirer Headline! Not something I'd take seriously...or even read, for that matter.

LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL!

Yeah, the title of this thread reads EXACTLY like a National Enquirer headline, because Sarah Palin is a joke. Get it!

Picture this! You're in a grocery store line in mid-August, and you see a National Enquirer paper. The headline reads:

McCAIN WILL NOMINATE BIMBO, AIRHEAD FOR VICE PRESIDENT.

And you say to yourself, "Can you believe that National Enquirer? How can they make this crazy stuff up? Who's going to believe such nonsense? Give me a break!"

Which is a big problem. As opposed to learning more about the background of your candidate you would rather follow the republican elephant blindly to the polls. considering no one outside of Alaska knows her, don;t you think you should learn a little bit about her before electing her to the VP role....presuming you are voting Mccain/Palin.
