I'm pretty sure it would take a lot more than that. It would take us not voting for Obama. And we are voting for him. I'm reasonably sure that when the votes are tallied, points aren't going to be taken off for not arguing effectively about the election on some internet forum.

But, hell, keep reaching. You need something to make you feel more secure about this upcoming election.
I think it is a combination of Democrats attacking Palin (in general, not just on this board!) and the media's fascination with her. Joe Biden never got the attention that she is getting. Even now he is struggling to get air time:

Have you been living under a rock for the past few weeks? Although I know polls don't perfectly predict elections, no reasonable person can claim that the race isn't close. In many polls McCain is now ahead.

The Republicans are making you look foolish. It's like they are running a trick play in football...your whole team is chasing the wrong runner while the person with the ball is running in for the touchdown.

You guys are completely blowing the easiest election of all time.

Congrats.
Not a Democrat or Republican, but I agree. I've had my fun with Palin, and I'm done with her. I think she's jumped the shark. As soon as her stand on the issues is out, she'll cease to be news.

Yes, good football analogy. It's like the Democrats were up 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter. Then they fumbled and the Republicans recovered and scored a touchdown. The Democrats after the kick-off return, threw an interception and the Republicans scored another touchdown to tie the game. End of 4th quarter=Nov. 4 election night, going into sudden death overtime. Colorado, Ohio, and Virginia's votes are finally counted to give McCain-Palin the win like a 54 yard field goal attempt that was good.

Someone's living in Obamalalaland... Have you checked the polls lately?
It's still a toss-up, friend. You can be pro-Obama, but don't lose sight of the goal. That's what cost you the elections of 2000 and 2004. You're not entitled to anything.

I like how the thread starter gives all this advice about what Democrats should do but offers not one single piece of evidence to back it up??

What polls say Democrats look ridiculous??? Who says it hurts Dems to go after Palin's inexperience???

Who says the focus should be on McCain??? Give us something.

So you're actually saying that discrediting (or however you want to phrase it) the VP candidate is a higher priority than doing the same to the Presidential candidate?

That's... odd.

Whatever - keep up the good work! Every time another Palin attack makes the mainstream media, McCain gets more votes.

(I particularly like the flat-out lies, like the rape kit thing and the book banning thing - you should really focus your efforts on those kinds of attacks).
