I am just curious, are Obama supporters really voting for him because they like his socialist political views or are they just supporting him because he is a democrat and they are throwing someone out there in rage because of these so called horrible last eight years.

People hate Bush, people hate the Iraq war, there are people are sick of the republican party, there are people who want a UHC system, people claim the last eight years has been total failure...

....Here comes a man who says Bush sucks, the Iraq war is a failure, how health care sucks and we need UHC, and talks about eight years of failed policies...

Basically there anger and speech has been formed into a person and here he is Barack Obama, do they not care about what we really wants to do, his ties, socialist views, inexperience, and not care about any of these because he can say Bush sucks and that's good enough?

I think he is a leader who will inspire us to be the best we can be. The rest is nothing in comparison.

Your poll has only two choices; many do not fall into either category. It's laughably biased.

I agree with Obama for the most part. On many issues, he is not liberal enough for me. No candidate has ever shared all of my beliefs, though, I don't think.

Most of his supporters couldn't care less who he is or what he stands for, they are just sick of Bush and want someone other than a Republican. I can understand the tiredness of Bush, but to vote for someone simply because your angry with the last President is a bad way of voting.

For those that think McCain is just like Bush, you could put those two in a room together for a day, and at the end of the day I guarantee they would have disagreed on more then what they would have agreed on. That's how different they are.

If what you mean is do Obama supporters want a change from the corrupt, lying, fiscally irresponsible Bush/Rove presidency...the answer is yes. Voting for McCain is voting for another 4 years of that. If you're ok with the Bush policies, go for it.

I haven't seen any credible (ie, nothing you'd see here in CD) about his 'ties' (relationships, not cravats) to bother me enough to not vote for him. His 'inexperience' is fine with me. I mean, Bush has shown us it's not that hard a job, and I think Obama is enough of an intellectual to figure it out. I would rather have a real fiscal conservative like Ron Paul, but I think that IF he can get us out of Iraq, we'll save more money under his socialism than McCain's National Socialism.
