Here's a link to an interesting article from US News. Who's Better for Stocks???

" 3. Polices are more important than parties. Bill Clinton (free trader, capital-gains tax cuts, balanced budgets) and JFK (another tax cutter) could be considered Republicanesque in their policies. Richard Nixon (wage and price controls) and George H. W. Bush (tax hikes) were not. Flip those guys into the opposite columns, Luskin says, and you find that the market is now up an average of 14.7 percent under the GOP and 10.5 percent under the Dems...."

Advantage: Obama
Disadvantage Obama.. who admits that even his own organizing in Chicago was a failure.

WHAT IN THE WORLD HAS OBAMA DONE THAT WAS SUCCESSFUL? ANYONE?

Well he did beat the assumed Democratic candidate in the primaries (Hillary) as well as break records for campaign contributions several times. Other than that, nothing.

Bill Clinton is part of the reason we are in the situation we are in.

All those years as a senator and McCain STILL has no understanding of economics?? All he knows and understands is the military. He should be a military advisor, NOT president.

He admits that he knows little of economics and stated that the economic slowdown (obvious understatement) is psychological!

YouTube - McCain on Recession: "it's psychological"

He has shown this campaign that he is entirely out of touch with the economic CRISIS that has been evident to most of us for a long time who don't have seven houses or married into a fortune.

McCain quote: "The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should. I've got Greenspan's book."

McCain is so apparently not up to the job. His ignorance of economics is the very reason his choice of Palin as his VP choice is so reckless and irresponsible. SOMEONE has to know what they are doing!

The economic situation was psychological at the time...

That housing "CRISIS" you keep speaking of, only affect 00.2% of the population, far from a "crisis"..

Show me one shred of evidence that Obama understands "economics".. At least McCain knows that he doesnt understand it and will bring in help, thats much better then someone who thinks they understand something they dont..

I disagree that it was ever psychological. That's just baloney the GOP tried to perpetuate.

The housing COLLAPSE affects a way larger # than 00.2%. The banks are so backlogged that most people facing foreclosure are only in the beginning stages of the process. Many more to come in the following months.

Furthermore, we are all being affected. Huge losses in equity. Huge losses in revenue for schools causing major cutbacks, loss of job creation when unemployment is at a 5 year low, etc.

Instead of the partisan BS, lets point the finger at the real problem:

-The Federal Reserve
-The POTUS (Bush, AND Clinton)
-Congress

this all so hard for me to follow. All I know is that the guy with the flag pin and the hockey mom make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

When does the next season of American Idol start?
