Now what's that Palin was saying? Putting the government back on the side of the PEOPLE? Getting rid of corruption? Sounds great to me!

Palin is talking about OTHER'S corruption...she put HER government on the side of HER people...hiring all her old unqualified friends to high paying jobs.

I think it's called ""The MY PAL-is-IN " system.

The list of folks who've benefited from Lehman Brothers PAC money is just further proof that the Democratic party is NOT the party of change..

Apparently, the Democrats are not really different at all - except for their socialist views.

We can see clearly that they have lobbyists right in their back pockets, too... right where their wallets are.

Default Hot air

Some of you are very naive if you think that corporate America does not donate to both sides. I'd be surprised if .5% of CDF posters have ever read through a corporate financial report. Most of the schadenfreude and hostility on this forum is hot air.

Socialist...lol. It's socialist for the taxpayers to pay for Corporate bailout's but not receive entitlements. What kind of twilight zone are we in. The Liberal Republicans have shown their socialist ways, the ones speaking out seem to support Senator Obama, so at least we know who the moderate fiscal conservatives are.

You're absolutely right...

The Democratic party is currently running negative campaign ads pointing fingers at the "lobbyists" that McCain knows.
Throughout the campaign, Obama's been trying to give the impression that he's different. He talks a lot about campaign reform... like he doesn't take all that dirty money and he's totally for the little people.

That, my friend, is my definition of hypocrisy.

That's where in the hospitals the patients have to bring in their own sheets and the patients' family have to provide them food.

Barack and Michelle follow in that mold. She goes around preaching to young people that they should eschew corporate employment and "middleclassness" (a term she got from the Rev Wright) all the while she pulls down 350 grand a year in a phoney hospital job (which contributes to the high cost of health care) and lives in a million dollar house curtesy of their felon friend Rezko. Oh, no, leftists like Obama are not averse to taking all the money that Wall Street wants to throw at them.
And they really think the Obamas are like one of us?

Mansion, 2 Ninnies raising their kids, 4 million last year off of a Senators salary, sure they are one of us. NOT.

The only donation of any amount out of the 4 million they made last year, 24k to ---- Rev Wrights church.

Sure they give back to the community. Do you see him living in that ole worn down area he promised to re build? NO you do not.

''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis,'' said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ''The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.''

You don't need a corporate financial report. Just go to OpenSecrets (broken link)

You can find in ten minutes or less what it'd take a couple of weeks to waft thru in a prospectus.

Don't you realize that this accounts for contributions by the employees of these companies? Just like when I donated $1000 to the Ron Paul campaign, you could have said, oh gosh... the company I work for is in bed with the Ron Paul campaign. It's crap.
