Pretty much sums it up for myself as well. That is a big ticket item for me, as well as the fact that I just do not want my hard earned money going to people who do nothing to help themselves.
When do we hear the "Obama is a Socialist" tune? Looks like all your hard earned Republican money is going to BAIL OUT the big boys. It is nice to know that your party has now purchased an insurance company for us, and a large investment banking operation. Way to go!
I'd like to add this: As a Hillary supporter who felt that the "Obamanites" were a little too "cultish" in their love of Barak...it's nice to see the Republicans can be equally as weird about Palin. You're all freakin' me out!

Maybe to help you decide you can ask yourself which one of the two tickets would bring an improvement in the quality of life of the majority of people, not just the few (and certainly not just yourself) and which one would help the world become a better place.
After all remember that we live more and more in a world that is interconnected and your choice will inevitably have consequences (positive and negative) on the international scene.
I'm voting for Obama because with him we have a chance to get out of Iraq, he supports abortion and reproductive rights, he's more conservative about the enviroment, he supports alternative fuel research, his tax plan is better, and he would be a better representative for the US abroad. His VP pick was serious and well thought out.
I will not vote for McCain because it would keep the failed Republican party in office for four more years, he will not explore alternative fuels and gas will keep going up, I'm uncomfortable with his Keating connections, I don't like his character (old fashioned, divorced his first wife, angry), he's anti choice, he's just too much of a Washington insider (25 years) who will do anything to get elected, his health plan is horrible and his VP pick was political and irresponsible. Also, I would NEVER vote for a candidate whose second in command is a Pentecostal. Scary.
I too am a big Hillary fan and supporter, but her ideals parallel those of Obama's. If you agree with her on issues, then you agree with him.
I am hoping that Obama wins, and then when there is a SC vacancy that she gets nominated. She could serve this country so well on the Court, for 20 more years.
