Greenspan didn't sign or vote for the legislation that loosened mortgage lending laws.

The idea that any Federal Reserve Chairman could create a policy that gives us sound money is ridiculous. Only disbanding the Fed would do that.

Maybe You haven't heard because you haven't been open enough to actually listen.

No one can know everything about everything, its good to see someone not afraid to admit he's flawed in some areas and will need help.
Um, I think that the ECONOMY would be one of the top 3 topics that a Presidential candidate must know about. In our current situation, it is THE NUMBER ONE issue. It's not okay that McCain is so uninformed about it.

Greenspan certain bears some responsibility for this current crisis... however he did work with a President that supported the same economic policies (weaker US currency).

He also guided the US through three critical economic crisises... the 1987 crash, the 1991 recession and the 2003 recession. I often wonder how we would be reacting to this crisis if he was still in charge instead of Bernanke.

William Buffet (investor), Paul Volkner, Robert Riech, James Gailbriath, Gene Sperling are supporting Obama...

Who is supporting McCain? Donald Trump(investor), Art Laffer, Phil Gramm, Donald Luskin...

I'm going with Buffett~

It was kind of funny because a lot of the people in the GOP were blaming Greenspan for the housing mess when it started years ago... I guess some people have grudges, like everybody else...

Considering the recent troubles on Wall Street and the ripple effect yet to be seen I think it's pretty safe to assume the economic plans of both Obama and McCain are now irrelevant. Both sides will need to revisit their thinking. One sure bet though is taxes are going up no matter who gets elected. I don't see any way around that one. And all those spending promises Obama's made? They'll have to be thrown out too.

You're kidding, right? Greenspan is 82 years old! How can someone that old have anything relevant to say? He must be soooooooooo out of touch. Right, Obamaphiles?

I thought it was Obama and Clinton.

Obama answers to you. McCain answers to lobbyists, the GOP, and the powers that be.

Unlike Ron Paul, McCain sold his soul long ago when he found out he had no shot at the white house.

That is why he 'picked' Palin over his 1st and 2nd choice Lieberman and Ridge.
That is why McCain's campaign is infiltrated with DC lobbyists.
That is why McCain is out of touch like "I hadn't Heard of That $4 Gas George Bush"
