Fear. Fear does it.

Much like Jews were cast for literally a thousand years (and more) as "Satanic," "having hidden horns", "eating babies" and "out to eliminate mankind," and much like Russians were viewed in the past century as "cold," "scary" and out to get us all even to their own detriment--it didn't matter, so long as they destroyed the U.S., and much like all Muslims are currently viewed as terrorists who (sensing a trend here?) are illogically and for no provoked reason out to destroy the U.S...non-Republicans are viewed as trying to rip up the very fabric of society.

And like the three examples prior to the Repub/Dem one, the accusations are overblown, based on almost nothing and are designed to drive like an ice pick directly into the human psyche of fear, which, luckily for Republicans, is not a logical or rational part of the brain. It's a reactionary one.

Hence, no matter what their candidate did (or neglected to do), no matter how dangerous their candidate could be for everyone, and no matter how ill-qualified their candidate may be...a quick dose of "but the OPPOSITE candidate CONSORTS WITH TERRORISTS!" will immediately bring the sheeple running back, saying, "I'm so sorry, Daddy. Please forgive me. I'll vote for you, I'LL DO ANYTHING, just so long as you don't let the Democrat terrorists get us!"

It's an old, old trick, thousands and thousands of years old...and for the non-thinking, it still works.

Scare the sh * t out of them, particularly with a threat, no matter how irrational, that they couldn't possibly fight on their own, and they're yours...forever. Make them believe that you've protected them from Satan incarnate, and they're in your pocket.

Fear. The RepubliKlan Creed.

Republicans vote the way they do because they got the memo that communism and socialism is dead. Democrats missed this.

Oh really? As insulting as Obama Bin Laden? DemoCrack? How about Libertard? That was on here just last night.

Just wondering where you personally draw the "insulting" line...granted I surely haven't read every post here, but I'm not sure I saw you jumping in with a frownie-face the HUNDREDS of times on here that such names have been called.

I did see you start a "can't we all stop calling names" thread...but I surely haven't seen you directly address people literally calling Democrats retarded. Can you please point me to those posts? Thanks a bunch.

Christ, you people are stunning. Just stunning. I can't even come up with a response.

Exactly what I'm talking about. Using Cultural divisions rather than discussing issues and policy questions.???

Do you now understand how stupid GOP voters are???
Excuse me? Watch who you are calling stupid! You can't even to begin to call GOP voters stupid after some of the things I've seen you liberals post!

I'm a pot smoking atheist who owns his own business. I'm a Republican. I'm also gay. Where's my stereotype?

My parents are Republicans. I voted Democratic in the last two Presidential elections because of the GOP choice. I was voting against Bush. I did not vote for Clinton.

My childhood created who I have become. The good and the bad.
