What is going on? I have been waiting to see what the "October Surprise" will be and evidently this is supposed to be the rabbit that DEMS will pull out of this year's election hat.

Anyone else heard this rumor/speculation?
I think one thing it does remind people by Biden stepping down for medical reasons is McCain's age and his health issues.

That is extemely narrow minded and limited, so I guess all democrats are narrow minded and have a very limited view of anyone not agreeing with them on everything. See how stupid that is?

Do you think the gaffes are intentional so it looks like that is why he pulled out? Not that Biden isn't capable of enough gaffes on his own, but some of this seems so obvious.

And he's a heartbeat away.

Keep that in mind.

No, gaffes aren't intentional. You would never want to give an opponent that kind of ammunition and "quotes".

I think obama realizes he has a serious, possibly fatal problem with clinton supporters and women in general.

However, I don't know how it would play to put in a woman now that everybody realizes he has a problem with this demographic - it would look like too much a political play and pandering.

How conveniently you overlook the affairs of Newt Gingrich, John McCain, Larry Craig, etc., etc., etc.........................................

And gee, since you seem to think JFK's father's sex life is relevant why don't we bring up Palin's daughter?

It's not fair to generalize at all. The loud and proud conservatives, unfortunately, give all republicans a bad name. Having one on the ticket this year doesn't help Republicans to appear mainstream. Palin's extreme and rigid views are bringing out all the christian freaks who think they have the right to impose their will upon everyone else.

Normal Republicans should not be compared to those far right lunatics.

Then it would be fair to say socialist/marxist/communist give all democrats a bad name....

And the fact that you use the term "christian freaks" says a lot.
