That's pretty naive. Much of the world considers Israel a rogue state.

Why we should fear a McCain presidency
By Anatol Lieven
Published: March 24 2008 19:12 | Last updated: March 25 2008 16:27
"The problem that Mr McCain poses stems from his ideology, his policies and above all his personality. His ideology, like that of his chief advisers, is neo-conservative. In the past, Mr McCain was considered to be an old-style conservative realist. Today, the role of the realists on his team is merely decorative."

Yeh, good way of pointing out the obvious.
Bush 'sells' what his administration feels are the current global terrorist threats, and then takes claim for them not happening! He has undoubtedly made the world a far more dangerous and unstable place, both through physical terrorism/violence, and financially. Anyone who feels Bush has been a good thing in terms of foreign policy is just plain gullible or stupid.
Obama may not appear as 'tough' on foreign threats as Mccain, but tackling them is far more complex than playground fighting.

I think someone who doesn't jump the gun will be less likely to throw our country into perril like the current president has. I'm all for keeping our soldiers at war only for as long as we need them there. Otherwise in my view, you are actively harming america.

There is only one choice
McCain
The other one has a plan and it is not a good one. He couldn't save us from a bad batch of apples let alone terrorists who want to kill us.

I don't think anybody can keep us safe from terrorists. They're here in the United States, and they could do anything at any time.
The war in Iraq has merely stirred them up more.
I don't think it matters who is President - we never know when they will strike. I don't think because Bush is president, it has anything to do with "keeping us safe". That's just propaganda.

And every other president for the past 60+ years except for Bush kept us safe for tens of thousands of days.

Yes... they're here and they were here going to our schools, planning 9/11 while Clinton was president...
The war has not made us any safer -- and anything could happen at any time.
So, naturally, it follows that we should disarm and try to reason with them.

Obama will keep the country safer. McCain holds the Bush/Cheney doctrine that diplomacy is for pansies, but brute force is omnipotent.
Even if it were not so, I would vote for Obama. The president swears to uphold the Constitution. He doesn't swear that no Americans will ever be killed by terrorists.

McCain is in no condition to lead a country, his health, his age and mind state after being a POW for years should alarm most.

Frankly, neither one knows the meaning of the word diplomacy and they take the Bush Doctrine to the nth degree though one of them at least never heard of it.
At least Obama won't CAUSE attacks. Revenge-obsessed addled crazy man and sidekick Xena warrior princess probably would, IMO.
|
Don't call Sarah Palin Xena (or Wonder Woman) please. I was horrified when some of the press called her that. That is insulting, even Lynda Carter spoke about it.
