My community is well to do who fled Chavez in Venezuela (Doral/Miami) . They took MUCH MUCH money with them from Venezuala and the economy means nothing to them.

My house is the smallest itty bitty house in this gated community and my car is a small gas saving Cooper. They have big Humvees and new large BMWs,Lexus .
They have lobster BBQ and choice cut beef and I BBQ turkey burgers lol (actually they are pretty good)
Their houses are huge 2 or 3 stories . My house looks like a Serfs house in an Old English Estate lol. It does look out of place here due to its size lol.

Economy does not affect them in the slightest bit .

They are Mccain supporters though many can not vote as they are legal residents not citizens. I am going either Independent or Obama not sure as change my mind daily.

Few things about Obama I do not like Pelosi and Reid for example .

The economy is pretty solid where I live. I do expect that to change regardless of which 'evil' gets into office, since both are committed to globalism and that would include the outsourcing of tech jobs. The only difference would be money flying out the treasury to fund experimental social programs (obama blew through a whopping $100 million in chicago, and had nothing but abject failure to show for it) or to fund prolonged wars on more fronts then we can handle. Either way, my billfold and community will feel it.

I plan on writing in ron pauls name or voting for bob barr. Obviously, neither will win. But maybe as more people vote third party the two party system will cease being the monopoly of mediocrity it has become.

Well, in my life experience I would say that when government gets bigger and more intrusive into our lives we lose freedom of choice. Socialism in Europe is not working and the masses are suffering in general there. Lack of oversight by a few in Congress allowed this "credit crunch/housing bubble" to grow and bust. Read your history and you will learn that the Great Society of the 60's only lead to huge federal agencies that need more money every year and give us less 'bang for the buck'. Small businesses produced 78% of the new jobs in the past 10 years. So what do you think of a tax on small business? California got into tax trouble a few years ago (before Arnold) and it was because they were "soaking" the rich and the rich had a couple of bad years and the revenues went down.
Every time the federal tax rates go down the economy gets stronger and more jobs are created and thereby more taxes collected.
