McCain's strongest point is a one on one debate, especially on foreign issues. He was not afraid of this debate. That I can promise you. The debate on domestic issues would have been Obama's strong point, McCain's was this Friday's. He put the country first.....again!

Sorry to burst you bubble, but I just got an E-mail from a friend conected to the DNC and it said to watch for a press release from the Obama/ Biden camp stating that Biden was steping down because of health problems and that Obama was going to ask Clinton to reconsider and become his VP choice, and this time she will accept. CHECK MATE!

Obama's camp issued a statement that they approached McCain first this morning about issuing a bipartisian statement about the crisis. Instead McCain made this announcement.
Indeed. According the statement from the Obama camp, McCain agreed that they would make an announcement together regarding the economy and then McCain pre-empts that, doesn't even mention it, in what can only be regarded as a bald-faced attempt to seize the upper-hand.
