Obviously he doesn't understand. He has already told us that.

This is as much of a publicity stunt as choosing Palin. Not our fault you can't see thanks to party blindness. It's sad that it has come to this for Mccain. All he is doing is making Obama (who is just as much a fool) look like the stronger candidate. I wish there were more people debating. Why no third party candidates? That's who they are really afraid of.

So you think that a couple of hours on a Friday night will make a difference? The economy is going to fall to pieces because of a debate? It's a stunt, just like selecting an unknown 2 months before the election and keeping her hidden from the press. The less people know about the Republican ticket, the less they'll dislike the candidates.

Correction: The economy has already fallen to pieces. I meant will crumble even more. Nothing happens over the weekend anyway. That's why bank takeovers always happen on Friday afternoon. Wall Street is closed too.

From The Huffington Post

John McCain has skipped more votes during this session than any member of the Senate except for Tim Johnson, who had major brain surgery. All of a sudden, McCain demands that the presidential race shut down so he can return to Washington?

For all of his sudden urgency, McCain acknowledged just yesterday that he had not even read the administration's three-page bailout proposal.

you should seek help for those delusions.

Nothing McCain has done thus far has indicated any sort of "smack".

He's picked a floosy as a running mate and got a small bump in the polls which has already gone down. Thats about all I can see.

Oh, and he said recently that our economy is strong! hahahahaah

This is so obvious that McCain is acting more like a coward than a leader. Please... like they can't spare a couple of hours to debate. Give me a break. Should would cancel this who General Election too! People need to see these two guys under pressure and figure out who has the best plan to pull us out of this mess. Obama is too smart to fall for this one! Nice try John.

justNancy makes an excellent and valid point. Just a stunt? You better believe it's just a stunt!

Or better yet, let the VP debate be held on Friday. If Palin must be ready to lead she can get it together in 48 hours.

It is obvious that McCain can´t face a televised debate with an articular and intelligent opponent and he is using the crisis to back away in quite a dishonest way.

Simply change the topic of the debate from foreign policy to the economy.

Oh, wait.

That's a joke site right? Sources on that? November 4th, that was almost funny.

You know, they could hold the debate at the Newseum. They would love having something like this. It's got the perfect room, it isn't booked that night, and it's two blocks from the Capital.

Or, how about holding it in any of the dozens of foreclosed homes around DC? Some of them are big enough for an event like this. Now that would be thought provoking.
