If anyone seriously thinks that it was NOT a political ploy to get attention, you're dreamin'.

Please, spare me the rhetoric. John "Keeting" McCain standing for intergrity??? its more like, politics.

Principals are not symbolic. The constitution is all principals based on self-evident truths.
Jesus Christ, I understand, was a man of principals.

Obviously, the GOP wants relief for the Wall St geniuses who took those bad mortgages and leveraged them at a ratio of 40:1 as "investments."
You didn't mention that in your post. I think if you examine the situation, you'll find that the investment houses who are now defaulting and going belly up just may have a whole lot more to do with this mess than individual home buyers.
But, don't look into it if you're not interested in seeing some things that are not as simplistic as your statement.

you're comparing John McCain to Jesus CHrist!! hahahahahah!!
McCain is interferring with the process to score politcal points, he's not there to add any "morality" to this bill. He has no expertise to offer any insight to this bill.
1/3 of the American population will be tuning in to see this debate tonight (which he politicized) and want to hear his thoughts on the economy.
We don't want to hear sound bites coming out of the house.
He needs to get up there TONIGHT, with Obama, and look the American people in the face and telll them what is happening in the house.
THey need to do this , NOW, not LATER.

I didn't know Jesus was a principal. What school?
Wouldn't it be cool to have Jesus as your principal?

You seemed to be having a hard time understanding what "principles" are and mean. I was trying to give you an example of a principled man you might have heard of "Jesus Christ". I'm not sure what the rest of your rant is about. It went off on a tangent.

NOW he cares!!

No, NOW he cares about *looking* like he cares about the economy.
All he really cares about is getting gullible, naive people to believe him when he says his campaign's suspension and his presence in Washington are necessary for the good of the American people. Unfortunately, judging by some of the posts in this thread, his grandstanding and posturing have worked as he planned. There certainly seem to be plenty of gullible, naive Republicans out there who actually believe McCain cares about them, and not just about saying or doing whatever will make him appear to care about or understand the economic crisis we're in.
He's a joke.

McCain only has himself to blame for this. He took a risky gamble, and the odds were not good that is would work in his favor.
