In the Palin interview one could see the disgust on her face and the daggers in her eyes. IMHO some people are just horribly ineffective interviewers and cannot separate their profession from their politics.
So all world leaders that Palin may have to talk to should be sweet, smiling, gentle, accommodating, soft, friendly, warm and fuzzy???

YOU make her out to be quite the wimp!!!!

If Katie intimidates her...

Oh god yes, if she can't even hold her own the against the freaking media, I don't even want to think about how she'll do against the likes of Ahmadinejad or China or god forbid Russia. Ya know, those nations and leaders who aren't known for sucking up and kissing A$$ to American politicians.

On one hand it's like watching a terribly long movie with no ending in sight, but on the other hand it's like a sitcom.....a bad one.

What about Sarah? I think she knows she should have said no. She doesn't look as confident, and every time she opens her mouth, it's a big time blunder.
Well, in reality she is doing quite well, and the best example of this is the great number of anti-Palin posts in this forum by liberal Democrats. Such posts indicate that Palin scares a lot of Democrtas. The rabid Democrat bloggers (not the average and good Democrat), write all sorts of demeaning comments relating to Palin, her family, and even her followers. It's obvious that this is a sign of insecurity in their part, but you don't have to believe what I say, of course.

Of course we are scared, she had half of America on her side. Luckily, people are seeing that she really can't hold her own and they will bail from that ticket. She's our of her league and it's painfully obvious. I'm not sure what you guys see that makes you think she's doing great. She isn't. And it isn't me just being a mean liberal.

"If BS were currency, Palin could bail out Wall Street herself."
Kathleen Paker writing in the National Review.

Parker goes on to say:

"Palin’s recent interviews with Charles Gibson, Sean Hannity, and now Katie Couric have all revealed an attractive, earnest, confident candidate. Who Is Clearly Out Of Her League.

No one hates saying that more than I do. Like so many women, I’ve been pulling for Palin, wishing her the best, hoping she will perform brilliantly. I’ve also noticed that I watch her interviews with the held breath of an anxious parent, my finger poised over the mute button in case it gets too painful. Unfortunately, it often does. My cringe reflex is exhausted.

If Palin were a man, we’d all be guffawing, just as we do every time Joe Biden tickles the back of his throat with his toes. But because she’s a woman — and the first ever on a Republican presidential ticket — we are reluctant to say what is painfully true.

Only Palin can save McCain, her party, and the country she loves. She can bow out for personal reasons, perhaps because she wants to spend more time with her newborn. No one would criticize a mother who puts her family first.

Unfortunately, I think S Palin should drop out. I had high hopes for her, but it isn't happening. She seems lost, and bewildered. I hate to watch her grope for answers that are over her head. I feel sorry for her. Maybe in a few yrs, she will be ready to "take on" the big guys. She is smart, and a fast learner--just not experienced enough. Obama is not experienced enough either, but he has been around politcians, media reporters, and can hold his own, when speaking to them.

I've believed for several years now that our Country is absolutely doomed to be divided

You see it in our news media already

"We the People" have no real voice anymore

Congress, the House, the President, our state and local officials seldom do what is right for the people - they do what is right to get them more votes, kickbacks, and publicity
It has been that way for several years now. Probably since the Vietnam War years, and has gotten worst in the past 20 years or so. That's why the number of undeclared or independent voters has become so large in the past few years. But in reality, we see the worst of both political parties posting in this forum, not the majority. For example, the Democrats and Republicans I am familiar with (including friends) are respectful and can discuss issues without insulting others. These folks are not disseminating lies they read somewhere about any of the candidates. These folks wight the issues carefully before casting their vote.

What is presented to us by the news media is pretty much smoke and mirrors. They present us with what they want us to see, or hear. That's all. They know very well that when we see a candidate on TV our perceptions (emotions) overpower logic. So they present the appropriate image (s) to bring their point across. For example a camera angle that shows the candidate slumped on a chair (instead of sitting with a straight back), a close-up of a wrinkle, bags under the eyes, the host or the political opponent at a higher level than another, etc. All of these things can be used by the TV news crew to present you their view, and we in turn become sheep, all the logic stripped from us. Listen attentively to a show on the radio, and then watch it on TV. I bet that you will notice the difference. When you listen to it, your visual perceptions are not taking place, much like when we write in this forum. Nobody knows what the other person is or looks like, but one still use one's imagination. This imagination is nothing more than a reflection of oneself (my imagination at work). The other person can be old, or old, male, or female, gay, or straight, tall, or short...and so forth.

The anti-Palin posts are here for a reason. Palin is horrible. Admit it. Her interviews have been painful to watch. They are like a bad movie that won't end. Yes, Palin scares democrats because she sounds unintelligent and could possibly become our next VP or God forbid, President.
