Obama is not my "savior," but I am one who has a curious mind and wants to know the truth, because it's important to me, whether it's about Obama or McCain. Truth is the only thing that matters if you have integrity. I just asked for a source that isn't a blog or personal comment or Republican web site. Maybe one reason others stopped posting on this thread is that the above links are not news sources. Where is the New York Times article that has been brought up so many times? Please, I am not arguing. I just want to see it. I read the New York Times so I can't understand how I missed it. How about the Wall Street Journal? Newsweek? Time? Christian Science Monitor? Boston Globe? Miami Herald? Washington Post?

If I stated something and referred to an article in the New York Times, you might ask me to provide a link. I am just requested the same courtesy, but I only get back insults and arguments. No argument here, really.



I do agree with one thing. It's become really stupid now. If asking for sources is a "ploy" I hope you never serve on a jury. Lord pity someone who is on trial if you don't like the way he looks so you accept every rumor you hear without proof.

I don't see where Obama is mentioned at all. However, what you failed to say is that Points of Light is also under investigation and Former President George Bush serves as the Honorary Chairman of the Board.

Acorn, one of America's most militant left-wing "community activist groups," is spending $16 million this year to register Democrats to vote in November. In the past several years, Acorn's voter registration programs have come under investigation in Ohio, Colorado, Michigan, Missouri and Washington, while several of their employees have been convicted of voter fraud.

Along with other potential recipients of these funds, including the National Council of La Raza and the Urban League, Acorn has promoted laws like the Community Reinvestment Act, which laid the foundation for the house of cards built out of subprime loans. Thus, we'd be funneling more cash to the groups that helped create the lending mess in the first place.

This isn't the first time this year that Democrats have tried to route money for fixing the housing crisis into the bank accounts of these community activist groups. The housing bill passed by Congress in July also included a tax on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to raise an estimated $600 million annually in grants for these lobbying groups. When Fannie and Freddie went under, the Democrats had to find a new way to fill the pipeline flowing tax dollars into the groups' coffers.

This is a crude power grab in a time of economic crisis. Congress should insist that every penny recaptured from the sale of distressed assets be dedicated to retiring the hundreds of billions of dollars in public debt that will be incurred, or passed back to taxpayers who will ultimately underwrite the cost of the bailout.

As part of the Fannie Mae reform bill, House Democrats pushed an "affordable housing trust fund" designed to use Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac profits to subsidize Acorn, among other groups. A version of this trust fund actually passed the Republican House and will surely be on the agenda again next year.
Acorn and its affiliates have pulled some real stunts in recent years. In Ohio in 2004, a worker for one affiliate was given crack cocaine in exchange for fraudulent registrations that included underage voters, dead voters and pillars of the community named Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy and Jive Turkey. During a Congressional hearing in Ohio in the aftermath of the 2004 election, officials from several counties in the state explained Acorn's practice of dumping thousands of registration forms in their lap on the submission deadline, even though the forms had been collected months earlier.

lol MSNBC Adores Obama they pray to him. They were the one's who tore Hillary to shreds .
She could do no right he could do no wrong. At time I was an Obama supporter and still saw how bias they were/are.

I am not voting for him as he is not the person I thought he was . Going Independent.

I do agree with you about ACORN. In theory great org in reality corrupt and voter fraud is their game.
