If a school teacher is teaching children that are accustomed to using incorrect english, you're saying the teacher should reinforce it's usage by using it themselves? I hope not.

Have a good evening......

God forbid we have a President that can speak properly. Obama's pronunciation of those countries is correct, WE AMERICANS slaughter the names. I learned this while in the Middle East.

I disagree. If you know the correct pronunciation, then use it. There is no need to dumb it down for the benefit of the electorate. That would be insulting. From one American to another, please be kinder to the English language.

"studdering" is spelled stuttering

"he should of used" is actually he should have used

Regardless of who wins the election, the era of mediocrity is over. Let's get used to the idea that we no longer have to accommodate poor speakers and Bushisms.

Let's have some standards.

"pahk-istan"

"ee ran"
I believe that he is pronouncing these correctly. Quite refreshing after 8 long years of N-U-C-U-L-A-R.

Obama doesn't have a funny accent, he is using the correct pronunciation of these countries. And neither Pakistan nor Iran is Arabic-speaking btw, nor are their countries' names. They are Urdu and Farsi respectively. But anyway, not that the average american cares or wants to be corrected ......

ee ran is correct. not eye ran, but US can seem to make up our minds on which one to use. The rest of the world including Iran pronounces it ee ran.
