Don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for our brave men and women serving our country but the whole bracelet story was corny. Not only was McCain bringing that up bad enough (IMO, it was in poor taste) but then Obama chimed in that a deceased soldier's mom gave him one, too. Boy was I chagrined!

I'm with you on this one, I thought it rather tacky myself.

That's weird, I'm here in Obama country and the folks I watched the debate with all felt O'bama's smirks stood out more. Maybe it's got something to do with the time zone while watching the debate.

Well said. That was how I saw it also. I am not a big McCain fan, but the difference was just so obvious in how well each knew the subject matter. McCain can just talk so knowledgeably about each of these foreign policy situations. It is not something he had to study up on, it's something he has lived for years and you just cannot replace that.

His plastic surgery left him looking permanently surprised.

As was mentioned, the best part of Obama's debate was when he said 8 times, "I agree with McCain on..."

Okay... CD people harmoniously consider Applebee's a "great night out" and drive Toyota Prius's. The women on here are notoriously activist and probably have multiple cats and eat ice cream by themselves at night. The men on here are mostly wimps.

CD is by no means a bellweather for predicting the election...
