The more I see about 9/11 the more I think our children's children will see the declasified reports that it was all to get involved in Iraq to avenge Daddy.

When attacked by A, you attack C. Perfect logic.....

Arnold was an attempted band-aid for the problems that got Democrat Gray Davis recalled (only the 2nd ever governor in US history to be recalled - that's how bad he was). Davis was directly blamed for Cali's budget problems and energy crisis.. ask Californians (like my sister and her family) how they feel about Davis.

It's been tried before however the two nations fought a bitter and draining war.

Looking at it objectively (and without the war) it probably would have worked out in the long run. The Confederacy would have prospered with it's economy based almost wholely on agriculture. The Federal Government would have prospered on manufacturing. Both nations would have had a positive export economy with raw materials and goods in great demand in Europe and to a lesser degree Asia.

I'll reserve a room for you at the Imperial in Havanna. I hope you like plantains and low wages. You might want to avoid saying anything negative about the Castro brothers. They shoot people who complain.

President Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat was both a History professor and a Sunday School Teacher. I take it you would not have voted for him with those credentials.

Excellent comment. McCain clearly a remnant of times long gone, a poster child for Regressive thought and warmongering.

You all want 2 nations - fine! Suggest we keep Hawaii as the "third" nation, kinda like a third party. We all need to vacation someplace.

There's a thought, they can be our neutral haven, like Switzerland
