Obama calls it multi-tasking. We call it maxi-spending.
Great points.

Not understood. What is DC?

McCain can say he is going to cut out government spending all he wants, but the same as above is true, if the three are all Dem, he won't be able to get anything done.

Exactly. People, the president is not all that powerful when it comes to legislation, which is how all this stuff comes to be. All he gets to do is say "yes" or "no" at the end, if it survives Congress.

I've got my doubts about Obama's plans and how it's all going to get paid for, what with the debt being the way it is, but I've got just as many about McCain's tax plan and how he's going to cut taxes as he says, pay down the debt, continue to fund war overseas and keep Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security intact and solvent.

just because a person is employed doesnt mean they are paying taxes. A Couple with 2 children making 20 thousand will have maybe 3 to 4 thousand withheld and 6 to 7 thousand returned. These folk get a stimulus check every April. And I dont mind this transfer of wealth because its a compassionate thing for us as a country to do for those less fortunate.

Enoughs enough

So....I'm guessing this might extend to - oh, I don't know - the middle class? Or at least the lower middle class?

I thought they were the ones who were supposed to get the shaft in Obama's tax plan, if I'm to believe all the **** I read on here.

Which sums up my issue with Obama. He makes a lot of promises and has no chance of actually delivering. Sort of like the last congress elected into office with the approval rating of 8%.
Obama delivers an awsome speech and you want to believe him. I know that I do. But wheres the money coming from?
Freeze spending, cut spending, get us out of this hole we are in. Return to running gov like we need a balanced budget.
If I have $500.00 in my checking account I don't write checks for $500,000.00.... This is where our reps have failed us. More pork, bigger budgets, more spending and all with no regard to what we actually can afford.
We need bridges repaired but we alot money for useless earmarks that serve a hand full. Let states pay for their own pet projects.
