Eh, I'd like to see a specialists opinion on how much the surgeries done on the side of his forehead and down the side of his face near his hairline have on his ability to smirk or smile before I'd give him that entire point.

The one I always felt bad for was Dole. He kept a pen in his hand at all times because he's long since learned to distract people from staring at it. Few knew that he couldn't use it. But in the debates people reacted negatively to how he held himself and it in particular - despite the fact that it was useless to him.

I sure didn't see any eye rolls. If there were eye rolls, they were certainly less numerous than McCain's plastered smiles. It was indeed difficult not to miss McCain's plastered smiles.

Why is McCain smiling? A comedian isn't on stage. There's no humorous topics, except when the moderator did interject a few humorous comments.

"I've got some good news and some bad news. I've done a good job tonight doing this but a bad job........."

You can be cordial and gracious but plastered smiles are a no-no.

Not at all, it showed he was confident in his beliefs and found Obama's constant interrupting and childish behavior rather amusing.

All in all McCain gave Obama his time to speak, it's a shame that Obama doesn't know how to return the favor.

I thought Obama looked very angry in the beginning.

"As the spin of Friday night's debate settled in and both sides staked a claim to victory, one media narrative began to take hold: while Obama may have been over-complimentary of McCain, the GOP nominee was grumpy, mean, and downright contemptuous of Obama, much to his detriment.

A clip circulated by Democrats showed the McCain demonstrating all of those traits: smirking when Obama gave his answers, eyes blinking, unwilling to even look at his opponent."

Hey, I didn't read all the threads so did anyone mention the fact that McCain could not look at Obama at all. Obama had no problem looking at McCain throughout the debate. You need a psychiatrist to post their opinion on the body language and nervous ticks of the debate. It seemed that McCain's confidence was at an all time low while avoiding eye contact.

McCains problems with his shoulders, where he can't raise his arms, must be all cured now. He spent most of the debate "patting himself on the back".

You've hit on something Obama has to be careful about - becoming the angry black man.
