While he never used the phrase "middle class", listening to his economic plan it was clear that he intends for tax breaks to be for EVERYONE, not just the middle class.

This is what McCain said:
"I want people to have tax cuts. I want every family to have a $5,000 refundable tax credit so they can go out and purchase their own health care. I want to double the dividend from $3,500 to $7,000 for every dependent child in America.
"I know that the worst thing we could possibly do is to raise taxes on anybody."

How is that not being for the middle class? Just b/c he didn't use those words. He didn't want to make a special interest group out of anybody. Obama was playing up to the middle class voter, and it was obvious.

But in doing so, this gives Obama soundbites that he can use in an ad, like you've posted, that could hurt McCain. The people who did not hear everything and don't want to bother to research this more closely will only hear what the Obama camp is putting out, that Obama is for the middle class, while McCain isn't, which is not true.

McCain doesn't understand Middle Class. He owns 7 houses and 13 cars. He could loose what 5 or 6 houses and still have a place to live. The only thing I have ever had that the McCain have is a Busch Light.

Exactly. This was a FP/NS debate. The first few minutes were about the bailout in relation to the economy.

Like Obama is middle class???? Give me a break. He could afford to buy all those houses and cars too if he wanted to, and more.

Big question is where did he get all that money to do that? He didn't marry into a financial empire like McCain did. Maybe special interest groups who are still holding his puppet strings?? hmmmm......

This ad is good--but I really like the ad where Obama just talks to people. No advertising glitz, just straight talk. I'd like to see that approach for the rest of the campaign.
