Yes, because the entire state of NY and half of DC moved to NoVa. The same is happening in Colorado and Nevada because of Californians.
They run away from states mismanaged by liberals and then ruin the economies of the places that they flee to with liberal policies. It's a self-deprecating cycle. North Carolina and Arizona are next.

Much of the Metro DC population in VA has been pretty liberal for quite some time. Not to mention there are many affluent and educated immigrants in the Northern Virginia area. A lot of transplants here tend to be more from Pennslyvania than NY and NJ, also people leaving DC tend to move to Maryland than VA FYI.
Also, your statements on liberals ruining state economies? VA became much more prosperous after Mark Warner, a Democrat became governor. VA would also not have such a great economy if not for liberal NOVA.

LOL, most people I know in NOVA didn't run away from NY and CA, they were given a lot of $$$ by corporations looking for top level employees. NOVA's an expensive place to live, not exactly the sort of place you flee to.

I was surprised, myself. It was nasty yesterday--not only rainy but, buggy, sticky, too hot to wear slickers. I'm an Obama fan but I didn't go--I hung out in a nice air conditioned mall yesterday. Those were dedicated fans, let me tell you.

Actually I'd call Warner more of a moderate. He did a great job in VA. Our current liberal govenor Tim Kaine has led VA into a budget crisis.

Why are people bringing NOVA into this?
Fredericksburg isn't Northern Virginia.

That doesn't explain Northern Florida though, we're in the bible belt and Obama had a historical turnout. Not just historical for democratic candidates, historical for any candidate in Jacksonville's history. Obama is loved .

There's an old saying.
"Those kids are just to dumb to come in out of the rain" Makes you sorta wonder, doesn't it ...

Hmmm so the population of New York is now ZERO? That is a gaffe worthy of McCain or Palin.
