If we don't like a candidates faith beliefs then perhaps we should not vote for them but to mock them is wrong. At least she has faith which is more then many amongst us. I am no Palin fan but faith is between a person and God and a lack of faith for many of us is also between them and God. They may not see it that way but if you are of faith there is not any other choice.
Sorry, I disagree. Palin's "faith"--witch hunter included--clearly indicates that, like G.W., she thinks God selected her. This disqualifies her to represent a pluralistic society. Furthermore, I think Palin's "faith" is about as real as G.W. Bush's.
The Bible, while containing alot of Geographical, historical, and archeological data, is primarily a spiritual guide book. The time-line is not too important, as far as dinosaurs, ages, ect goes. Those who argue about such, are missing the message. I accept that I don't know how old the earth is, or who existed at what time, with what animal. I believe science, and the Bible can co-exist-neither disputes the other. My main interest is the Spiritual message, which is, after all, is the only thing we can rely on, after we no longer exist in the physical realm.
While we probably could carbon date McCain, I'd still have to rule out humans running around like the Flintstones.
LOL!!!!!!! There actually can be some errors in carbon dating, even the more updated methods of it, and these particularly seem to happen the farther back you go, so although we can be more or less sure of, say, the Australopithecines, going farther back to McCain might yield data that's far too shaky to be accurate. So we're going to have to take his word on it...........
As an aside: Archaeology actually has always been a love of mine. I may have been the innocent one, but the first time I heard of people who didn't believe in evolution, my head was blown.
That's neither good nor bad...just putting that in.
Archaeology remains a love of mine. I'm the loser watching NatGeo (isn't it soooooo cool how they made their name so updated and kickin'? Kind of like WaMu) so I can catch "The Neanderthal Code" once more.
McCain must have told Palin that when he was young, he did see dinosaurs. Should be OK.
