I also have lived in Europe. But you speak for neither the world, America, the United States of America nor me. If you cared what the world thinks you wouldn't be speaking for its citizens, now would you?

If USA wants to have a say in the world's politics and be taken seriously as a major player, then it needs to heed others' opinions.

If the USA just keeps itself to itself, then fine, no-one else need care.

But you can't have it both ways.

If you expect to fuel up American military planes on our way to bombing another country then you absolutely need some respect from other nations. YOU have it backwards. Think a little bit harder if you dare.

america can become energy independent and produce our own goods. we have the resources and we have the manpower. inflation would be down, gas prices would be down, and unemployment would be down. good for america!

YOU are forgetting the allies that we have that have helped in the war effort. Or you choose to believe the gloom and doom of the MSM. Read my post again and you see I'm not for total isolationism from out allies. What I'm saying is I don't give a damn about other countries desires as to who we elect. That is the domain of the American People.

This is precisely the reason why America in fact needs to maintain a favorable reputation in the world.

Politically the United States is very nosy and involved in the affairs of other nations, and the decisions our government makes has a large impact on the rest of the world, so it is not out of the question that foreigners would be as interested as they are in the outcome of the U.S. election.

The American's Creed
by William Tyler Page
I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.
I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.
–Written 1917, accepted by the United States House of Representatives on April 3, 1918.

as a government of the people, by the people, for the people of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I do not believe in isolationism but I do strongly feel that when it comes to our national elections and our government .... what other NON US CITIZENS think (here and abroad) does not factor in.
