Since practically the entire world wants Obama to win, I'm not sure there'd be an impartial moderator to be found outside the USA. What do the people of the rest of the world know that so many of US's citizens don't????

In the case of Palin, from herself.

The only thing Palin needs is to answer the question in one sentence and yield the remainder of her time to Biden the more he talks the further his foot goes in his mouth.
and look how well that turned out.

Whoever is going to be elected President will be facing crisis where the scales are tipped heavily against him/her. Compared to those, this debate is like nothing. Should the President be crying "Unfair! Crisis are biased against me" in the face of advesity? That's not being Presidential. That's being a putz!

Ifill may be biased towards Obama. So what. The VP candidate can't handle it? The VP candidate is a pu$$y?? If anything, this allows Palin to show that she does deserve to be in the ticket. That she can take the pressure, including any perceived bias from the field. That she can take the fight to the opponent and win. If and when the pro-Obama bias shows, it makes her look stronger. If she can flip the situation to her advantage, more power to her and to McCain. Had the moderator been pro-Palin, I doubt it would produce the opposite result. (My belief that part of the reason Hillary Clinton maintained a strong support base during the primaries has to do with the press being tougher on her and softer on Obama.)

Brokaw is moderating the next Presidential debate, and he's a known supporter of McCain. Obama can complain about that all he wants. If he can't handle the potential pro-McCain bias, he doesn't deserve to be in the ticket.

I was watching Rome during the last few weeks. One exceptionally admirable thing about Caesar's victories is that he won despite facing larger oppositions than his own. Pompey's forces, Vercingetorix's Gaulish forces, (anti-Cleopatra) Egyptian forces, exiled senators' rag-tag armies, etc. Had he cried "unfair", forget the Senate. His own troops would stab him.

Do not underestimate Palin. This debate setup is for her opportunity to shine. Adversity does bring out the best in a person.

It insults Palin for you all to be so afraid of the debate moderator. Dont you think she'll be able to manage?
