His life story and what he went through after the death of his wife and daughter moved a lot of people tonight at the watch party I attended at this restaurant . Complete silence. Absolutely complete silence. You could have heard the sound of hearts beating. That proved to many Americans that no matter what title these guys have, at the end of the day, this ticket really "Gets it." And I love the way he doesn't use it as a political gain like McCain and his POW stories. Good job Joe. You are amazing individual to look up too and I'm proud to say you are a true hard working American. God Bless you and Obama. You guys and your families are in so many Americans prayers every night. My God keep all harm and danger from preventing you guys from achieving what he has in stored for you. God Bless America!!!!!!!

I agree, and he was very respectful and talked about FACTS. Nice to hear. I wish him the best, a clearly deserving and qualified candidate with major experience and skill, what America needs.

That was a nice moment, and was good counter, because it seem so genuine compared to Palin's "I am a hockey mom, I have kids, therefore I understand" script.

All that was missing was "I feel your pain". At least he didn't condemn the poor man she pulled in front of this time.

It was acted for that moment. I am not saying Biden doesn't truly feel sorrow for his loss. I would never say that, but I believe the tears at that moment we somewhat acted.

I agree me and my spouse thought he really showed his human side and connection to the "everyday Joe and Jane" .

Sorry, but all I could think at that moment was, "If Sarah Palin teared up when mentioning her special needs child, the media would be thrashing her for being a weak woman." Why is it "touching" when a male politician reveals an emotional moment but "weak" and "contrived" when a woman does?

Believe what you will. Most seem disagree with your judgment on this, though.

You should ask McCain that question first? He uses it all the time.
