It's the Palin effect, stupid. This election will be officially over by the end of the vice presidential debate. OVER. The train wreck is approaching the sea and there will be no surviving once it sinks.

Yes! I don't care about getting a Porsche. Many more important aspects to my life. Good schools for my daughter. The chance for her to go to college without going broke. Decent health care, and a stronger middle class, making the town I live in a safer and more stable place to live. I'll drive my old Volkswagon into the ground, thank you very much

if you really cared about education for your daughter, you wouldn't be sending her to government schools to be programmed. my brother went to college for free. people are just too lazy to look for grants. why apply for grants? the government should just give it to us for free right?

Could you explain how the government schools program? What do they program?? Is that the best you can do to explain your candidate?

I guess you went to private school so you don't know what goes on in public schools?

I am new to this board and some of the things people say blow my mind.

I don't have a candidate. both of those running are idiots. I went to both private and public schools. the private school I went to tried to program us to be catholic, and the government schools tried to program us to believe that government is meant to take care of us from cradle to grave.

Thats bs, I went to public school and they do not teach you the government is going to take care of you cradle to grave. Give me a specific example. If you hate the schools and you hate the candidates maybe you would be happier in a different country.

Edited to add I come from a family of public school teachers and find that pretty insulting.

I strongly support the public school system, and volunteer weekly at my daughter's A+ rated school. A decent education needs to be available for all, not only for those who have the ability to fork over lots of cash for private school. Why do you think we are being surpassed in academia by so many other countries? Do you care if this trend continues? Maybe you think only a chosen few of our children deserve to be well educated. Nevermind, I have a feeling that you are much more concerned with getting that new Porsche. My priorities are different.
