I thought she'd at least remember the Exxon case, but, maybe she didn't disagree with it.
I really felt bad for her while watching this part of the interview. The fact is, she knew what she needed to know to get elected as mayor and governor. She was a big fish in a small pond, as they say, as are many politicians in similar circumstances.
She is clearly not an intellectually curious person, although she may be an expert in those things that are near to her heart (her kids, her religion, her home-state, etc.) as are many Americans today.
As much as I don't agree with her politics, I think she has been placed in an untenable position and as much as I would like to just say 'well, she could have said no.' - she had no idea what she didn't know, how could she, when what she does know has gotten her this far?
Maybe instead of gunning down wolves from the air (which no real hunter would ever do), we could institute "The Running of Sarah Palin," arming ourselves and pursuing her over the tundra from the air.
She's a bloody idiot. McCain's teeth must be busted from gritting them so far.
Her calculated decision not to bring up her stated displeasure with the Supreme Court gutting the punitive damages against Exxon in the Exxon Valdez case must not play well ourside of Alaska or with McCain.
She had spoken against the decision that let Exxon off the hook on paying punitive damages but chose not to mention it. I guess the way Republican conservatives loved to bash trial lawyers and ridicule Edwards etc....made her position.....risky outside of Alaska.
I wonder if McCain's ire is soon going to bust wide open--everytime Palin talks I imagine his blood pressure must be going up 1 point, along with TMJ symptoms from holding his jaw so tight.
