My objection is focusing on THAT instead of the content of what she has to say and insinuating her pronunciation indicates that she is ignorant.
I agree ani but don't sweat it. Those of us in Tennessee are used to those shallow, narrow minded remarks and observations. The people here laugh as they look at they diplomas on the wall and bank accounts. We're crazy dumb down here in the stix! And, for fun I'll add that I live 15 miles from Oak Ridge, the nuklar plant. LOL

I object b/c it is arrogant of others to use someone's native accent as a way of "proving" they are ignorant, and that is exactly why others have done this to Bush - and that is how I read the comments here.
Accents are beautiful things that add to the diversity of the world. However, an accent is different from switching letters around, and/or totally mispronouncing things.
