Here is the poll number comparison between Obama and Kerry around this time in October (research & survey USA polls)

Indiana

(2004) Bush 60% - Kerry 39%
(2008) McCain 47% - Obama 45%

Ohio

(2004) Bush 51% - Kerry 49%

Excellent post. Obama is doing far better than I predicted.

I thought that he would take the entire Northeast, the entire Midwest except for Ohio and Indiana, and Western states CA, OR, WA, NM, and CO. Now it looks as though he make pick up some southern states too. Great!

We need to change the landscape so that it doesnt all depend on Florida and/or Ohio. At this point, I dont have faith that the American Electorate is smart enough to pick the right candidate-but we can't give up. There's too much at stake.

And so much to gain with Barack Obama.
