Frank Rich talks about Palin's creepy, bizarre ambition to be president whether she's ready or not.
SARAH PALIN’S post-Couric/Fey comeback at last week’s vice presidential debate was a turning point in the campaign. But if she “won,” as her indulgent partisans and press claque would have it, the loser was not Joe Biden. It was her running mate. With a month to go, the 2008 election is now an Obama-Palin race — about “the future,” as Palin kept saying Thursday night — and the only person who doesn’t seem to know it is Mr. Past, poor old John McCain.

I completely agree with the OP.

I am a resident of the state of Alaska. (And do your worst, Glitch et al to whine that I am not there physically at this time--I have more roots in the north than you can ever dream of having).

Personally, I declined to apply for the Permanent Fund dividend this year, though I was more than eligible for it. Why the hell should Alaskans profit from genocide in Africa?

I'm disappointed because I think her obessive winking is unprofessional and a sign of narcissism.

I got the same feeling about her. She really believes she is special. So many things about this woman annoy me. She is not genuine, and she is so insulting to American voters.

It is frightening to see someone being manipulated by Rove and company like she is.

Yes. I agree. When I look at what she's done to exploit her pregnant daughter and how she displays her newborn like a prop, it is apparent to me she is very self-absorbed.
