Would Obama Be Where He Is Today If He Were White? I mean if he were a white senator, with the same views, values, visions and less than impressive record would he be a Presidential candidate, or is it just being driven my the media and everyone else because he's black?

that is a huge if statement.
many people in the AA community feel he is white.
of course that means many have redefined afro american to mean something else.
the club keeps getting redefined. as we move to one people instead of factions the exclusion to the club will be harder and harder.

If Obama were white, no one would be paying any attention to him. A senator with 173 months or whatever it is in the senate, and that's IT? Everyone would be saying "I don't THINK so."

Nope, he hasn't done anything noteworthy. He is where he is BECAUSE he's half black. Many idiots have some sort of goofy guilt complex that they shouldn't unless they're from Africa and owned slaves.

Ever notice how he doesn't bring that up a fraction as much as he does being African American? Paraphrased Obama quote--I can no more deny him (Rev Wright) than I can my Black community or my White mother. Obama's the one who started publicly making this about the color of his skin. Now that, to me, is desperate.

He brought it up because he knew it would be brought up just like you know it would and I know it would.

I believe he has gone further than he would have at this particular stage of his career due to his race. However, that is not to say he wouldn't have ended up running for the presidency somewhere within the next decade. I happen not to be a Democrat, but if I was, I would find him to be a very impressive politician and a great choice of candidate. I totally disagree with his politics, but admire what he has managed to do with his life and respect him as a human being.

Absolutely, "Did I mention I was black" and typical white granny? I think his spouse pulls the lil boys strings, she may threaten him over his homosexual drug affair with Larry Sinclair.
