We all say the allegations of our candidate are false so whether it's revelations about McCain or Obama, what, specifically, makes you so sure the they're all false? I'd really like an intelligent answer.

Very little critical thinking.

Because if Sen Obama really had ties to, or was, a terrorist as some people think the republican heads of the CIA, FBI and DHS would have indicted him long before he ever made it to the senate floor. Somehow the investagatory reporting of Sean Hannity though in all his brilliance has figured out these things.

Sen McCain on the other hand was caught in direct scandals with Charles Keating.

Great topic. I think it has a lot to do with faith. People put their faith in a candidate or party and refuse to think about what they hear and see. They simply listen to their "trusted" mouthpiece. I also agree about the lack of critical thinking.

Personally, I'm not sure. I was never much of an Obama supporter until August 30th.

I am a legal resident of the state of Alaska. Like all other voters, I have to take into consideration the respective VP picks of both of the nominees.

Palin has lied to her own state, her extremist stances are disconcerting at best, and her folksy put on is an insult.

I can honestly say that Governor Palin has been the major variable in my decision to vote for Obama.

I can see that. But if I see someone I back saying or doing something wrong, I sure as he!! don't want to defend them. I can't understand the mentality of it. It boggles my mind. You need to know the candidate whom you bestow your trust upon is worthy. What good does it do to be in denial? What could you possibly gain from that? You don't. You lose in the end.

Metlakatla, hi, my mom is from Met, as is my grandma and grandpa and many extended family members. Although, I grew up in Anchorage. Just saying hello.

American believe there are two choices. Bad or worse. There is nothing in between and no other options. Every election they whine about the lack of choices. We had 22? candidates from the two party system. We have at least another 4 countrywide candidates. This is what we got. We've already lost no matter which one of the two wins.

This can be turned around - in the absence of any hard facts, what makes you so sure they are true?
