Obama will just make himself look like an immature person by discussing a closed case where McCain was already found not guilty. In fact, the Keating Web site/video that he is releasing shows his immaturity.

It's like a wife going to the husband, "Remember in 1973 when you did this to me?" Husband goes, "What? I thought we are over that?"
And how many on Wall Street have been found guilty of anything? Yet the public wants their hide. As long as there is nothing in the Keating Five to make them think of the bailout, then McCain should be fine.

They are doing this to try to tamp down the attention to the Bill Ayers association and other unsavory ties Obama has had to some questionable characters, Rezko, Flegher, Wright, Khalidi to name a few. Even if the McCain camp didn't call attention to his terrorist ties, others will still be talking about it.

Exclusive: Obama to hit McCain on Keating Five - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/14302 - broken link)
Obama-Biden communications director Dan Pfeiffer said: “While John McCain may want to turn the page on his erratic response to the current economic crisis, we think voters will find his involvement in a similar crisis to be particularly interesting. His involvement with Keating is a window into McCain’s economic past, present, and future.”

They might not want to go there. I think McCain has called very little attention to Obama's actually involvement in ACORN and his associations with those involved deeply in Fannie and Freddie. Obama is in this economic crisis up to his eyeballs.

HOLY SMOKES I have heard references to this scandal but didnt know the extent of it. This is some really damaging stuff. Guilty or not he was put on trial for this. It actually reminds me of the current situation. I guess McCain really does have bad judgment. I know there are so called associations with Obama but he has not been on trial for anything.

The Keating Five scandal reminds me also of Enron.
Keating made his fortune by bilking elderly retirees out of their life savings and Ken Lay did the same at Enron.

John McCain actually took part in "shady" activities many times...Barack Obama lives in the same neighborhood as a terrorist and is cordial to him when they are at the same function.

Barack Obama has NOTHING to do with Ayers' terrorist acts, nothing.

Story over.

Now why would Obama go to being so low to do this when he knows McCain was cleared of any wrong doing.

Or is he grasping fro straws and will lie in this waste of money?
OJ was found not guilty as well. Would you leave him alone with a knife, gloves and your wife?

What about Palin and the AIP? Much more recent and with her hubbie being a part of them AND her still speaking at their conventions......much more recent that what Ayers did 40 years ago (when Obama was 8).
