Are any of them Nobel Laureates?

Here are a few economists who support Obama. His website doesn't tout the number of economists who support him like McCain's does. But Obama is more about QUALITY versus Quantity.

Furthermore, do I want to vote for a candidate that has Donald Trump's support or do I think I would be better off with someone that Warren Buffett supports?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm Trump has almost gone bankrupt how many times? Trump did NOT step up to help the Wall St. bailout. And he is hardly known as a guy who give a damn about anyone other than himself.

If voters' main concern is the economy, and for many people it is, McCain's economic plan is the clear winner.
Hmmm.....

Sounds like some of those folks are having second thoughts. Turns out the plan they endorsed was just a set of basic principals and not really a detailed plan. While some of the signers clearly still support McCain, others probably have doubts about (at least) parts of the plan:

"In interviews with more than a dozen of the signatories, Politico found that, far from embracing McCain’s economic plan, many were unfamiliar with — or downright opposed to — key details. While most of those contacted by Politico had warm feelings about McCain, many did not want to associate themselves too closely with his campaign and its policy prescriptions."

In theory, economists support McCain - Politico.com Print View

So, I wouldn't brag too much about all those signees - folks who signed something that wasn't yet really defined.

Ken

Who do you think the people making $250K/year are? Granted, some are high paid professionals, but the majority are small to large business owners.

Do you have facts to back this up or are you just speculating?

OK - let's give Obama back the 'more than a dozen' ...let's say ...20. That still leaves 510 economists that endorse McCain's economic plan.

So is McCain winning the Economist Electoral College vote?

I feel for you guys. I've been on the losing side of an election and it sucks.

Yes, more than those who endorse Obama's plan.

Those endorsing McCain's economic plan include Nobel Prize winners in Economics: Gary Becker, James Buchanan, Robert Lucas, Robert Mundell and Vernon Smith.

Your poor logic is showing.

Those "more than a dozen" are JUST the economists that were INTERVIEWED. In other words "just a sampling". The fact is, most of those folks signed a broad vague set of basic proposals BEFORE the details of the plan were determined - so their endorsement is not really of McCains' plan at all but rather the endorsement of a general set of principals. There is no evidence of how closely McCain's plan follows those principals - or even that Obama's plan doesn't follow them MORE closely.

In other words, the endorsement's are more a publicity stunt than anything else.

Just shows how easily manipulated people are. They'll vote against their best interest by blindly believing in hollow promises and blindly following political ideology.
