"With all of this history, we should have been prepared to deal with a Palin Administration hell bent on killing wolves. She and I were “raised by the same wolves”, and she wants to shoot them out of planes. She stacked the Alaska Board of Game with pro-aerial wolf hunters. She was successful at merging faulty science, Safari Club International interests and state funded propaganda; spinning a web of lies to masquerade as conservation. I’m not sure where it started; maybe a spam email promising penis enlargement from shooting mammals out of planes went viral. Running our policy on “Faith Based Science” hasn’t worked; animals you believe are here for you to rule, and exist because Noah got two of them on a boat and they managed not to eat each other is one thing. But if you refuse to use the brain God gave you for observation and noticing patterns of science, well, how good of a steward of the Earth are you? Years of classic, scientific studies by Adolph Murie and Vic Van Vallenbergh have been mocked or ignored. Their studies were in the field, observing the balance between wolves and ungulate populations. They proved what common sense verifies; wolves take the weak and the sick thereby strengthening the herds. The Alaska Board of Game lacks common sense and ignores science. The Board is loaded with Viagra starved, trigger-happy Alaska Outdoor Council and Safari Club International agenda."
B.S. Predator control is important, when needed. But it has to be done correctly. Random and arbitrary killing of the young in the wild can lead to massive ecosystem disruptions over time. What Palin sanctioned is illegal AND immoral. Stop making excuses for this piece of sh*t named Sarah Palin.
The Natives did it for a long time and there is still a large wolf population in Alaska, FWIW...
You are very misinformed. The State of Alaska has an active wolf control program, and this program began before Palin was the governor. The Governor of Alaska, regardless of who he or she may be, must govern in accordance to the Alaska's Constitution. Also, in the last elections this year, a majority of Alaskans voted YES to continue the wolf control program.
For the real deal on the raw deal for the Alaskan wolves, read this, written by an Alaskan that seems to know the facts.

Ok, you have proved your point. Alaska has kooks too.
It does not impress me when a person attempts to prove a point simply by name calling. A few examples of the lies would be nice to examine this residents accuracy in their argument.
The common sense conclusion made is lacking in completeness and validity. While it is true that wolves do remove the weak, it is also true that an over abundance of wolves require many more than the weak or diseased animals and will decimate food herds until there are insufficient populations to support the wolves and the wolves enter into a starvation cycle to reduce the predator numbers. This Alaskan resident conveniently omits that portion of the life cycle.
While denning is a morally despicable activity, it is also a very effective practice. It provide a large degree of population control at a minimal effort. I do not know that it adversely affects the environment any more than general hunting of adult wolves or killing young wolves after they have left the den. It would seem that to cause the catastrophic effects being proclaimed by PETA the practice would have to be much more global and the numbers would have to be much higher than the control programs allow. I am certain that left unchecked the effects of the predator overpopulation would be extremely cruel. Imagine thousands of wolves starving to death instead of hundreds being shot.

Yeah and the US has an overpopulation of the poor uninsured, lets exterminate them also.
Yet we had to hear about Palins knocked up daughter and care about that? Please. Animals contribute much greater things to the world than many people, some people should NEVER reproduce, lol.

Many true things are said in jest.
